Geographical access to services

The first three indicators are measured for people on low income, for whom this is more critical. Access to primary schools was measured for all 5-8 year olds.

Access to a GP (NHS, BMA, Scottish Health Service) for October 1997

Access to a primary school (DfEE) for 1999

Two more domains have not been included in this version, since adequate data are not yet available, but it is hoped that they will be included in the future. They are: crime and social disorder; physical environment .
