DAT area incidence
The following Tables B and C show the annual incidence rates of male and female new cases per annum, from 1996/97 to 2000/01, for each DAT area in the South West.
Prisons
The following Table D shows the numbers of notifications to the RDMD from each prison in the South West region. The 8,153 notifications were of 4,708 people across the five years 1996/97 to 2000/01. Table E shows the number of new cases per annum, 3,547 persons in total, who were notified from the prisons. No notifications were received from Portland Young Offenders Institution, the Verne, Weare or Guy’s Marsh.
