Aims of session and  Agenda

 

1.   Share knowledge on health equity audit:

·          Improve understanding of how to carry out a local health equity audit

·          Identify difficulties likely to face PCTs and their partner agencies in completing a local health equity audit, and identify training needs

·          (If possible) set out how such difficulties might be overcome

 

2. Consult on how to agree a basket of local health inequality indicators:

·          Share work of Matrix and others on indicators in use

·          Pose questions relevant to composing a useful local basket

·          Garner views to assist in advising the centre on how best to frame guidance on inequalities indicators to make them most useful in the field, and to best support the soon to be published All Government Plan to Tackle Health Inequalities
